Gorgeous days...

Last Saturday was beautiful for March. It was lunar eclipse Saturday so before it became dark I was able to capture some shots of the city skyline. I was in Fairmount Park over by Belmont Mansion and this took my breath away.

This picture is of the future home of the Underground Railroad Museum. It is currently under construction but when it opens I want to see the exhibits.

This is in the Fairmount Park section of Philadelphia. When I found out what it was I just had to get pictures of it. I knew there were outposts in Philadelphia in connection to the Underground Railroad but I had not ever read up on it. That would be very interesting information to research.

What better way to teach the children about the Underground Railroad than to be able to take them to the museum where children can learn first hand what it was like to be a slave on the run?
