Septa Gone Wild!

Here it is a bright sunny day and after riding the train I await the bus to pick up my beautiful boys from school. As I board this slow moving bus I overhear the driver and another SEPTA worker discussing how long are they supposed to work the picket lines this time because last time they were on it for two weeks. Needless to say I was rather disgusted because just before the holidays of 2005 SEPTA went on strike leaving thousands of passengers without transportation. Yet they expect the continuous support of the traveling public. I say this because a beautiful photo I captured just days after this overheard conversation speaks louder than any rant I could type:

Gorgeous Philly!

I have captured some amazing shots around Philly. From the school yard to the campus on a sunny day in April. The trees are green and the cherry blossoms are blooming. Here some folks relaxed on a bench and watched the people on the corner of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. In the other photo, below, Temple students are trying to cross the street before the light turns red. In this shot also, some of the renovations along Cecil B. Moore Avenue can be seen where the bus is approaching. Isn't Philly gorgeous? Well, in some parts it is...

All in all it is a beautiful day to go to class. Check out the Temple students in the photo to the right...
There were swarms of them coming from the trains, from the dorms, from apartments and from other parts of campus, converging up Cecil B. towards 13th street. Wait until summer fully arrives!
